Our Lay Pastors

In 1991 Community Pres reached a crossroad.  Membership, reflecting the Mineral County population, had dropped to the point where we could afford to pay a full-time pastor or keep the church doors open.  We worked closely with the Nevada Presbytery to develop a Lay Pastor Program, and graduated the first class of Commissioned Lay Pastors at the Spring Presbytery of 1994.
